謝謝英國髮型產品品牌ghd邀請，我設計了一系列的娃娃支持香港遺傳性乳癌家族資料庫，一個很有意義的創作企劃，提升大眾對遺傳性癌症的關注。        很開心可以為這個別具意義的活動出一分力，而且自己一向都是ghd產品的粉絲。今次我為三位支持者以及我自己度身訂造了布娃娃，因為我相信每位女性都擁有獨特的美態，希望能透過我製造的布娃娃展現出來。而我在製作布娃娃時，都會研究該人物的特徵，希望捕捉各人的神髓。這提醒我們每人的特徵都是遺傳自父母的基因，而遺傳性癌症疾病同樣是由遺傳或基因突變所致，所以正如我觀察布娃娃一樣，其實我們平日也應該定期觀察自己的身體變化及留意父母的遺傳因子，若果發現身體有不尋常的變化，可以進行基因測試，這樣才可以預防及及早發現癌症疾病。

我想藉着布娃娃喚醒大家對遺傳性癌症的關注，同時希望大家可以支持THE REGISTRY。接受基因測試，能為患上乳癌、子宮頸癌及前列腺癌的風險提供更準確的測試結果，因此鼓勵及支持家人早日接受測試非常重要，絕對不容忽視。及早作出診斷，可以及早做好預防措施。

 為了表示對香港遺傳性乳癌家族資料庫的支持，ghd 特別推出慈善限量版電子粉紅platinum造型夾及air風筒，售出產品所得的部分收益將會撥捐予香港遺傳性乳癌家族資料庫。過去十年，ghd在英國透過銷售廣受追捧的粉紅ghd造型夾及於髮型屋舉辦不同的籌款活動，成功為乳癌慈善團體籌得超過9百萬英鎊的善款。

   四位極具啟發性的香港女性︰何志恩、馬詩慧及麻利亞(鄧慧妍)及本人亦聯手宣揚此充滿意義的訊息。我更特別為支持是次慈善推廣的四位女性度身訂造個人布娃娃，捕捉了各人的神髓，提醒我們每人的特徵都是遺傳自父母的基因。四款布娃娃及慈善限量版電子粉紅產品，在今天7月27日的傳媒預覽會上率先亮相。  

    This summer, iconic leading professional styling brand ghd joins forces with renowned Hong Kong doll artist Ning Lau, in support of Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry (THE REGISTRY) for the first time in Hong Kong to raise the awareness of hereditary cancers.

The Hong Kong initiative will be supported by four inspiring women of Hong Kong, Johanna Ho, Ning Lau, Janet Ma and Maria Tang to drive this positive message. To further heighten the campaign, a customised doll by artist Ning Lau will be produced in the likeness of each of the four inspirational style icons to serve as a reminder that we inherit our characteristics from our parents’ gene pool. The dolls will be unveiled together with the limited edition electric pink ghd products at a media event on 27 July.   

     Ning Lau, started out her career as a fashion journalist, and became a respected marketing and creative force behind luxury fashion brands. Ning then founded her hugely popular digital fashion platform, “who ARE invited”. She is also a renowned doll artist and has customized dolls for a wide range of designer brands and individual women with the belief that each woman represents beauty in her own unique way. Having been in the centre of the fashion and beauty industry for years, Ning believes that true beauty encompasses inner health and balance to complete the perfect picture.
